Wedding Invitations – Chelsea & Johnny
On May 20th, 2017, my husband and I were married on my grandparents’ farm in Prospect, Ohio surrounded by almost 200 family and friends. It was everything I had always wanted in our wedding day, and I cannot believe it has already been a year! It seems like it was just yesterday!
Of course for my own invitations I had to have something spectacular! The invitations and response cards were printed on a luxurious, 100% cotton stock that is typically used for letterpress printing. It feels very similar to watercolor paper, so it was absolutely perfect for the custom purple and yellow watercolor design that I created. There’s something so soft and romantic about the way the watercolors gently fade into the paper. These were place on a backer of sparkly Ametrine paper, and then glued inside a Platinum silver Envelofold. I just love the petal-like flaps on the Envelofold and how they add to the floral look of the invite!
I am absolutely in love with calligraphy, so both the outer envelop and the response envelope were designed to look hand-drawn calligraphy using the gorgeous font Bombshell. I also chose a fun font called Winterfell for our names (and yes, it only makes it better that it’s a Game of Thrones reference!) The invitation and RSVP card were both printed on a 100% cotton stock which feels super thick and luxurious. The invitation itself was glued to a backer card of Ametrine paper, and then the backer was glued to an Envelofold in Sterling. I wrapped the whole thing in purple and white baker’s twine to hold everything together.
